Thrilled to collaborate with Business NSW and Milestone Belanova on a practical how-to guide for medium to high-density residential development on the Central Coast.
Having shaped the Central Coast Regional Plan 2041 — celebrating a two-year anniversary since its release in October 2022 — I'm passionate about guiding communities through this vital framework. The new Central Coast Residential Development Guide bridges planning policy and practice, showing how the regional plan’s vision is turning into a tangible reality.

Housing isn’t just a numbers game; it requires both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. For too long, growth has been planned around cars as the default for even short trips, creating a cycle that fuels car dependency. This approach has led to higher infrastructure and health costs, increased emissions, and challenges to social equity and economic resilience.
The Central Coast Regional Plan recognises density’s value in addressing these issues, delivering genuine public benefits that enhance quality of life.
It was a pleasure joining today’s placemaking forum with industry leaders, MPs, and councillors to discuss how the Central Coast is truly a region on the rise.
Growth demands confidence and clarity, and the Central Coast is stepping up with a planning system that champions sustainable, community-focused progress.
